Every project receives a dedicated project manager so you know who to turn to every step of the way. - **Problems explained, not hidden.** Some reviews mention a tile delivery delay, a fixture mix-up or a wall that had to come out mid-job, and describe how the team told them and sorted it out. - **Living at home during the work.** Several reviewers stayed in the house through construction and mention crews cleaning up at the end of each day. - **Small fixes at the end.** Reviewers describe the team coming back to finish the last list of small items, in some cases after move-in. ## How to read contractor reviews before you hire A star rating on its own tells you little. When you compare remodelers, ours included, these questions get more out of each review: 1. **Does the reviewer name the project and its scope?** A bathroom refresh and a second-story addition test a contractor in very different ways, so give more weight to reviews of jobs like yours. 2. **Does the review name the people who ran the job?** Names that recur across reviews suggest you will deal with the same people the reviewer did. 3. **How were problems handled?** Most remodels hit something unexpected, such as a supply delay or damage found behind a wall. The useful reviews say what happened next. 4. **Was the work finished?** Look for mentions of the final walk-through and of small fixes after move-in. 5. **Is the license active?** Reviews cannot show you that.
